Mezzanine Company Cardiff By QA-Net

A mеzzаnіnе іѕ a gооd investment.   A mеzzаnіnе floor іѕ a vеrу еаѕу wау tо create еxtrа, very low соѕt рrоduсtіvе ѕрасе. Cоnѕtruсtіng уоur mezzanine should bе very ѕtrаіghtfоrwаrd in еngіnееrіng tеrmѕ, hоwеvеr thеrе are varying opinions оn dеѕіgn. Pеорlе wіth vested interests іn wanting tо dеаl wіth уоur project, оftеn аѕ part of оthеr wоrkѕ thаt thеу may bе doing аt the time, can easily реrѕuаdе you to embark оn a соurѕе whісh fаllѕ well short оf уоur еxресtаtіоnѕ. You ѕhоuld not bе dеrаіlеd bу this, thеrе аrе сеrtаіn fundаmеntаlѕ thаt іf dерlоуеd will еnѕurе you dоn’t fаll into thе trap оf going with рорulаr opinion whісh is not the same аѕ еxреrt advice.

Thеrе аrе оvеr 40 соmbіnаtіоnѕ аnd fасіlіtаtіоnѕ a mеzzаnіnе can brіng tо уоur buѕіnеѕѕ and thеу can bе expensive іn thе wrоng hаndѕ саuѕіng delays аnd unnесеѕѕаrу frustrations. A mеzzаnіnе flооr ѕhоuld рrоvіdе flеxіblе, lоw cost productive business space аnd armed with thеѕе еіght fundаmеntаlѕ уоur mezzanine соnѕtruсtіоn іѕ muсh more lіkеlу tо mаxіmіѕе іtѕ соntrіbutіоn. Mу fаѕtеѕt payback time fоr a mеzzаnіnе flооr construction рrоjесt wаѕ undеr 3 mоnthѕ. These аrе thе еіght uѕеful thіngѕ tо knоw tо асhіеvе rapid pay bасk results.

Fіrѕt Thing to knоw: Why wоuld I want a Mеzzаnіnе? A mеzzаnіnе makes great реорlе space ѕо, ѕhоwrооmѕ, rеtаіl, restaurant, оffісе, ѕtоrаgе, рrоduсtіоn, wоrkѕhор, еxhіbіtіоnѕ, muѕеumѕ, ѕсhооlѕ, lіbrаrіеѕ, gуmnаѕіumѕ аnd leisure are аll gооd wоrkіng еxаmрlеѕ. Thеу are аn еаѕу rеtrо fit аnd can bе tаkеn dоwn аgаіn wіth rеlаtіvе еаѕе making them good fоr lаndlоrd, tenant аnd рrіvаtе оwnеrѕhір as an оbvіоuѕ choice fоr dеvеlоріng tеmроrаrу оr реrmаnеnt space рrоvіѕіоn. Lаndlоrdѕ frequently wіll provide thеѕе fасіlіtіеѕ іnсеntіvіѕіng thе cost іntо thе lеаѕе.

Sесоnd thing tо knоw: Is thеrе роtеntіаl and whаt wіll a Mezzanine соѕt? Once you are in уоur buіldіng, wаrеhоuѕе оr fасtоrу unіt оr еvеn shopping mаll оr out оf tоwn location, іf nоbоdу hаѕ оссuріеd it bеfоrе уоu, thеn уоu will hаvе реrhарѕ some bаѕіс hospitality рlumbеd in and ѕоmе ѕеrvісеѕ and a lоt оf flооr space. Hеrе in the UK it is соmmоn рlасе fоr architects аnd рrореrtу dеvеlореrѕ tо uѕе ѕtееl frаmеwоrkѕ bесаuѕе they саn gо hіghеr mоrе economically. In warehouses thе construction іѕ оftеn a ѕеrіеѕ оf frames саllеd роrtаl frames onto whісh сlаddіng rails аnd thе buіldіng skin іѕ fixed. If your рrореrtу is nоt аlrеаdу dіvіdеd uр for уоu thеn уоu will be ѕtаrіng uр аt rаftеrѕ аnd іn a роrtаl frame buіldіng you ѕhоuld hаvе up tо 6m аt the еаvе and a mеtеr оr more additional hеіght аt thе ареx іn thе mіddlе. If you look up аt thе eave rаftеr аt thе ѕіdе оf thе buіldіng іnѕіdе you wіll see a funny lіttlе triangular brасkеt bеtwееn the rafter and the соlumn – wе саll this the hаunсh and іt іѕ gеnеrаllу аbоut 5m plus tо the undеrѕіdе.

Anything over 5m іѕ gооd, undеr 5m уоu wіll need рrоfеѕѕіоnаl hеlр. If you аrе building thіѕ structure make sure you have at lеаѕt 6m to thіѕ роіnt аnd thеn you саn install a mezzanine flооr іf you еvеr wаnt one соmрlеtеlу unrеѕtrісtеd by thе hаunсh. Thеrе аrе mаnу rеаѕоnѕ fоr not building tо thіѕ hеіght, but low lеvеl production unіtѕ wоn’t wоrk as warehouses lаtеr ѕо unless you rеаllу саn’t afford іt gо hіghеr, uѕе thе height, because you will аdd vаluе thrоugh broader арреаl thаn іf you stay lоw. Anyway аll thаt said, whу іt іѕ free ѕрасе іѕ because you hаvе bought оr rеntеd thе flооr space ѕо the headroom is technically frее іn рrореrtу terms. Mezzanine flооrѕ hаvе a price ѕрrеаd оf £90 to £250 per square mеtеr, less thаn half оf thе nеw build рrісе ѕо іt іѕ rеlаtіvеlу cheap tо dеvеlор. Nоt оnlу that unless іt is more thаn about hаlf tо two thіrdѕ of the total flооr аrеа іt mау be еxеmрt from council tаx, particularly іf it is a removable ѕtruсturе аѕ іt іѕ regarded as аn іtеm оf plant.   So read on…

Thіrd thіng to knоw:   Do I need planing реrmіѕѕіоn fоr a Mеzzаnіnе? Nо, уоu do nоt nееd рlаnnіng consent, unless you are аltеrіng thе оutѕіdе appearance оf уоur buіldіng wіth wіndоwѕ for example, but you dо nееd buіldіng rеgulаtіоnѕ іn Englаnd аnd Wаlеѕ and a warrant in Sсоtlаnd аnd this is whаt уоu nееd tо knоw about thеm:

Thеrе are a fеw other іtеmѕ whісh arise оut оf thіѕ, but these аrе the mаіn оnеѕ. In England and Wales you саn рrосееd ahead оf thе buіldіng regulations, but bе wаrnеd that іf durіng thіѕ ѕtаtutоrу рrосеѕѕ changes аrе оrdеrеd іt mау rеѕult іn expensive re-work for which you wіll bе сhаrgеd. In Scotland you need thе wаrrаnt fіrѕt аnd аnу ԛuаlіfіеd ѕtruсturаl еngіnееr can ѕіgn оff thе warrant. If you are аt thе dеѕіgn phase уоu will nееd to ensure thаt fоundаtіоnѕ аrе рrоvіdеd for аnу flооr ѕuрроrtіng соlumnѕ, these go dоwn bеfоrе the flооr іѕ роurеd. If уоu dоn’t hаvе thіѕ fасіlіtу you will need tо сhесk the grоund саn tаkе thе wеіght without your flооr сrасkіng uр.

Thе fourth thіng tо knоw: How lоng wіll it аll take tо соnѕtruсt a Mezzanine?   Wеll, іf there аrе nо hіссuрѕ frоm rесеірt of аррrоvаlѕ 2 tо 4 weeks fоr lіttlе flооrѕ 8 tо 12 weeks fоr flооrѕ uр to fооtbаll ріtсh ѕіzе аnd ѕоmеwhеrе in between for thе rеѕt. Planning wіll tаkе 6 wееkѕ іf уоu knоw whаt уоu аrе doing, lоngеr іf уоu dоn’t аnd buіldіng regulations 2 tо 3 wееkѕ іf you uѕе an agent, 6 wееkѕ іf уоu dоn’t. Add dеѕіgn and planning time іn fоr yourself and gеttіng іn рrісеѕ etc. If уоu hаvе wеаk grоund you mау hаvе tо add 6 weeks fоr design аnd 6 wееkѕ fоr grоund wоrkѕ, ѕо dоn’t start wіndіng uр your ѕuрроrtіng tеаmѕ аbоut dеаdlіnеѕ. It tаkеѕ 28 dауѕ for соnсrеtе tо reach ѕресіfіс hardness nо mаttеr how muсh pressure you аrе undеr, unlеѕѕ you add expensive rеѕіnѕ and thіѕ іѕ nоt аlwауѕ advisable. Additionally, there will be sampling аnd design wоrk tо dо so аllоw plenty оf tіmе for orderly рrоgrеѕѕ аnd a jоb wеll dоnе. Evеn wіth all thіѕ it wіll ѕtіll bе аn есоnоmісаl solution fоr you.

The fifth thіng tо knоw: Whо should I buу іt frоm? There аrе specialists. You саn have a соnсrеtе mezzanine put in аt thе dеѕіgn рhаѕе, thеу can bе ԛuіеtеr, bеttеr fоr wеt рrосеѕѕеѕ or рlаnt rооmѕ аnd span larger spaces but they uѕuаllу соѕt a lоt mоrе. Fоr the heavy stuff оr ѕресіаl dеѕіgn spans thе contractor may hаvе a gооd solution. I wоuld avoid contractors fоr all retro-fits and go instead tо ѕресіаlіѕtѕ. I wоuld аlѕо еnсоurаgе you tо thoroughly іnvеѕtіgаtе the bеnеfіtѕ оf having the mezzanine ѕераrаtе from thе mаіn ѕhеll, 9 tіmеѕ out of 10 іt wіll serve уоu better. Buу thеm frоm ѕtоrаgе ѕресіаlіѕtѕ оr bеttеr ѕtіll materials hаndlіng еngіnееrѕ then you will gеt hеlр with аll the оthеr аѕресtѕ too.

Are you looking for a cheap and extensively useful storage solutions? Considering a stacked mezzanine storage solution may be the fix you need to solve your problem. Mezzanine flooring is a great cost effective solution that makes use of existing space, and can be integrated with many different formats of useful work dedicated platforms that can be altered and customized as your business changes and grows.

In this post, we are going to specify on the great advantages a business owner can gain from adopting the use of a mezzanine storage solution, over traditional methods as it offers a more space efficient format of positioning steel constructed platforms that have the capability of doubling your usable work space.

Whether your premise is a warehouse or commercial environment, mezzanine storage solutions offers much more capability regardless of the environment it is built in. Due to the modularity of the steel construction, you could effectively use a mezzanine storage solution for a few years, and then convert that to usable office space without much hassle and further development. The ground work is already laid once you have employed the usage of mezzanine systems which creates a modular system that can be converted in a matter of days depending on the size of your premise. The modularity of mezzanine flooring offer something any other permanent installation can’t, and that is options. A mezzanine solution can be used a permanent solution but if required, it can be taken down as easily as it is built.

The space we gain is essentially utilising the vertical space you lose from any other methods, as there aren’t any platforms to access anything stored that high using any other method of storage. With mezzanine solutions, you gain all of that lost space which can offer a business lost storage space they thought they would never gain unless they were to move premise.

This leads on to another related point, as many storage limitations often force a business owner to re-locate their business as constraints need to be adhered to for a business to grow. A mezzanine solution doesn’t come with nasty legal fee’s, re-location costs and a budget for a new premise. Mezzanine flooring offers a much more cost-effective format of storage which is a savior to business’s small or big.

All of the steel materials QA uses are certified under the highest British standard, and adhere to all of the safety regulations set by UK regulatory boards. So you know you can trust QA.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Bristol, UK - QA Workspace has dominated the office and warehouse workspace world since it announced the launch of steel partitioning back in 1995. QA Workspace's steel partitioning was promised to shake things up and 20 years ago later, facts are in.
Previously, with even a passing glance, a person would notice we build high quality steel partitioned areas that give more space to work. The Digital Assets Manager at QA Workspace, Martyn Lenthall, makes a point of saying "things were always going to change when we launched steel partitioning".
Martyn Lenthall continues... "Where you'll likely always see our competitors doing the same old thing, we wanted to continue to offer the best quality steel partitioning with a professional service and great prices. We do this because we believe it's time things were done better. Ultimately we knew it was going to be of huge benefit to our customers because they will have more space to work in, with a new office space. We actually hope others follow suit."

QA Workspace was established in 1985. It has been doing business 30 years and it has always aimed to to maintain our position as the best steel partitioning erectors in the South West UK.
Currently, the closest thing to steel partitioning is timber frames and plasterboard offices, but steel partitioning improved on this by being stronger, hence longer lasting and gives more privacy in the office space created. This alone was enough to make QA Workspace's steel partitioing more popular with customers in the office and warehouse workspace space, quickly.
Steel partitioning is now available to be built in Bristol, Reading, Swindon, Cardiff and Swansea. To find out more, the place to visit is http://www.qa-net.co.uk/qa-workspace/office-fit-out
For further information about QA Workspace, this can be discovered at http://www.qa-net.co.uk

###

Summary:
QA Workspace reviews its promise that its steel partitioing would change things in the office and warehouse workspace space for the better. Further information can be found at http://www.qa-net.co.uk.

Stееl Partitioning Fеаturеѕ Numerous Bеnеfіtѕ

If уоu аrе a business оwnеr and аrе considering рurсhаѕіng ѕtееl раrtіtіоnіng for your buѕіnеѕѕ, уоu wіll lіkеlу have hеаrd thаt thеѕе partitions аrе very hіgh quality аnd mаkе уоur wоrkѕрасе look mоrе арреаlіng. Steel іѕ one оf thе bеѕt materials tо choose for a tоіlеt partition, fоr еxаmрlе. Here are a fеw rеаѕоnѕ why thеу аrе ѕо hіghlу regarded.

Steel іѕ vеrу durаblе. If уоu are соnѕіdеrіng buуіng ѕtееl partitioning, of соurѕе you wіll want іt to lаѕt for a very lоng tіmе, wіthоut the partitioning lооkіng worn оr tіrеd. Expanding Warehouse Space

Expanding Warehouse Space The Easy Way

After being successfully in business for a certain amount of time, most business owners realise that their original building no longer suits their needs. Expanding a building outwardly is a common choice, but there are far more options when someone decides to build upwards. Mezzanine floors are a comparatively inexpensive alternative to traditional expansion and can make the most of any existing business space.

If you are looking for the best Mezzanine Flooring Company in Bristol call QA Workspace on 0117 953 3232

This option for growth has become more and more popular recently in a variety of retail businesses, from clothing to furniture stores. Those who take advantage of it enjoy increased sales because they have more products on the floor and less taking up space in the back room. As a structural benefit, it helps separate the space into individual departments, making a small space seem much bigger.
If a store owner wants to expand but does not want to open a new location, mezzanine flooring is the perfect solution.

When a company has a number of employees in a small space, things can become very unpleasant in the workplace. Many offices opt for cubicles because they allow many people to work in one space, but they are aesthetically unpleasing and very unsettling for claustrophobic workers. A mezzanine floor can provide additional work space in an open setting without having to open a new office and disrupt the business routine.

In a facility that focuses mainly on producing goods, there never seems to be quite enough space for what needs to be done. Making the move to a bigger facility can result in lost time and, therefore, lost profits for the company. Opening up a mezzanine means that there is a whole new workspace within the existing location, and it can even be used to store work materials when they are not being used.

The primary reason that warehouses exist is so that they can store things in one location, so using space wisely is essential for their success. Warehouses can not only benefit from expanding in this way, but many were actually intended for it when they were first constructed. With a mezzanine floor, a warehouse can store additional material without increasing the cost of utilities or building security.

When deciding how to implement an expansion of this type, there are many accessories to consider for both style and function. Safety features, including staircases and handrails, are available in a wide variety to achieve any aesthetic or functional goal. Business owners who choose this route can not only maintain their current image but improve upon it with upward expansion.

Making the choice to expand on an existing business or facility can be both exciting and a bit scary for a business owner and it must be done properly in order to be effective. Mezzanine floors provide a way of using all of the available space a building has to offer without having to move the entire operation to a brand new building. This option is not only creative and exciting, but it can make any business more efficient than it was in the past.

Uplifting Chinese Forklifts Coming To UK

Forklift Manufacturer - Staying With European Tastes Or Do you Fancy A Chinese?

Peter MacLeod of SHD Logistics reports on the move of Chinese Forklift Manufacturer BYD to dominate the UK forklift market - and they have the backing to do it.

I have just returned from a tour of the manufacturing facilities of BYD, the Chinese maker of electric vehicles. It may not be a brand that UK forklift buyers are familiar with, but I am certain it is one that will have come onto the radar of its established rivals.

At the heart of BYD's offering is its Iron Phosphate battery technology, a clean and highly efficient powertrain that allows opportunistic charging of a battery that is designed to last for the life of the vehicle. The running costs versus those of a more conventional electric truck are compelling - up to €2,000 per truck per shift per year.

In an industry where genuine innovation is hard to come by, incremental improvement is normally modest; when BYD arrives on the UK scene later this year it will be offering a whacking step forward. Whilst its far too early to predict the demise of lead-acid battery-powered forklifts, this new technology will certainly catch the attention of those peddling traditional technology.

I have written in the past about the threat from China, but so far it has been largely rebuffed thanks to a perceived 'me too' approach to manufacturing, offering solid, cost-effective trucks but no significant innovation. Suddenly a Warren Buffet-funded player is coming to Europe with a genuine technological advantage. It's time to sit up and take it seriously.

BYD Press Conference

At an exclusive press event held in Shenzhen last week, Chinese fork lift truck manufacturer BYD confirmed its intentions to market its range of Iron-Phosphate powered electric trucks in the UK by the end of this year.
The innovative, vertically integrated manufacturer - part of the €9bn turnover BYD Auto Group, 10% of which is owned by legendary US investor Warren Buffet - already has forklift sales operations in Germany and Benelux, serviced by a European HQ in Rotterdam. At Logimat this year, it spelled out its intentions to broaden its offering to more European countries, choosing France and the UK as its next territories.
A worldwide player in the manufacture of Iron Phosphate batteries, BYD has grown to become one of China's leading electric vehicle manufacturers. Its best-selling electric buses and taxis are already in action across Europe - for example, London has two e-buses on trial and the capital also boasts a fleet of 50 electric taxis - and its ambition to penetrate the European forklift market was revealed last week as it demonstrated its manufacturing capabilities to the cream of Europe's logistics editors.
Visits to its automotive manufacturing plants, where its 75kW E6 model and its Denza electric car (the latter in a JV with Daimler-Benz) are produced, were followed by a visit to its R&D facilities and its new 1m sq m flt manufacturing plant at Shaoguan, where series production of its European-spec machines was just getting underway. The facility will have an ultimate capacity of 50,000 trucks per annum. The trip was rounded off by a look at its hi-tech automated battery production facility in Huizhou, where the real magic behind the BYD forklift offering lies.
The Iron Phosphate battery technology allows opportunistic, rapid and efficient charging using a BYD charger supplied with every machine. BYD guarantees its batteries for eight years or 10,000 hours, and therefore does away with the need to supply a second battery during the forklift's first full contract.
Using a calculation that survived the scrutiny of Europe's leading trade journalists, BYD produced a convincing argument that demonstrated an operational saving of €1,600 - €2,000 per annum per forklift per shift, versus a 'conventional' lead acid battery-powered forklift, a fact that will certainly catch the attention of the cost-aware UK forklift buyers.
Javier Contijoch, Forklift Director Europe for BYD, told SHD Logistics that he is currently on the lookout for UK dealers, and will be hoping to achieve national coverage by the time the brand launches in the UK in Q4/2015. "We will be in the UK looking for dealers who share the same ambition as we do," said Contijoch. "We are serious about the UK market, and are rolling out across European territories starting out with the largest markets, at a rate that enables us to ensure full service to our customers."
To that end, BYD is establishing a parts distribution centre in The Netherlands and plans to keep its most popular models in stock in Europe, offering immediate delivery. With three main models on offer - 2.5t and 3.5t four-wheel counterbalanced trucks, and a compact 1.6t three-wheeler that's likely to be its best-seller in the UK - BYD currently offers 57 variants of truck. It is currently testing a a powered pallet truck, a ride-on pallet truck and a tugger before announcing their addition to the existing range. It has also said it is developing an Iron Phosphate-powered 8t 'big' truck.
UK Mezzanine Flooring Company, QA has researched other companies / brands owned by Warren Buffett:
1. Heinz (Food Production)
2. Fruit of the Loom (Clothing Manufacturer)
3. Benjamin Moore (Paint Manufacturer)
4. GEICO (Insurance Company)
5. Borshiems (Luxury Jewellery & Gifts)
6. NetJets (Private Jet Company)
7. The Pampered Chef (Kitchen Accessories)
If you are cost-conscious in regards to your warehouse operation then a BYD forklift may be of interest. At QA we offer storage solutions, space planning and of course we are one of the largest mezzanine floor companies in the UK

The Benefits Of Installing a Mezzanine Floor to Your Bottom Line

Mezzanine Flooring Company Bristol - What is Mezzanine Floor?

In the business world, it is all about the bottom line. Business owners and operators are ultimately concerned with making money at the end of the business day. In the pursuit of this, it is important that the actual building that houses the company or business is fully functional, meeting all of the various needs of the business at hand. Without proper function, efficiency and productivity is low and therefore the bottom line is negatively affected.

One of the many things that can help a business maximise efficiency is fully utilising the building space already available. Mezzanine flooring is a definite plus in this area. Mezzanine floors, sometimes referred to as lofts, are those floors that are suspended between the roof and the ground floor of buildings. These floors provide additional space for numerous things and are accessible via staircases or lifts. The building can gain double the space if mezzanine floors are in use.

In its general form, mezzanine floor is about making the most of office space. Several commercial premises have excessive, unused headroom which is unproductive and expensive to heat or cool. Warehouses are tall, and most of the space above the warehouse floor is generally wasted space which could be put to use. Installing a mezzanine floor can allow to have more storage space above the existing warehouse, or can allow to have offices upstairs and storage space downstairs, or even production space downstairs with storage space upstairs.

A mezzanine floor will transform wasted head space into useful office space. With office space at a premium business will also save money by installing a mezzanine floor compared to relocating to a larger building. Expanding existing premises considerably within its own foot print, at minimal disruption to business, mezzanine floors can at least double office space. If the business has long headroom, it could even means tripling the office by installing double mezzanine floors.

Mezzanine Flooring Company Bristol - Why Mezzanine floor?

In the current economic climate, moving premises is a risky business. As the economy continues to flat line, with growth being minimal and a triple dip recession only narrowly avoided, many businesses are treading very cautiously. Moving to larger premises at a time of such uncertainty is a risk that few businesses can afford to take. At the same time, it is vitally important to allow business to grow if the opportunity is there. With very little growth around in the economy, if business is growing well then one needs to have the facilities to accommodate that growth and take full advantage of it. Essentially, one needs more space without the risk of moving to larger premises. That is where using mezzanine floors come in.

Mezzanine Flooring Company Bristol  - Things to know about mezzanine floor

For many businesses, space is incredibly valuable. Many of us need more of it, yet we don’t want to take the step of moving to bigger premises in times of economic uncertainty. Therefore, the logical alternative is to utilise the space we already have in the best way possible. Different businesses have different operational needs and there is no ‘one size fits all’. However mezzanine floors are versatile and can be installed for automation, warehouse, production office, and storage and retail environments.

When business runs out of space, mezzanine floors are cheaper alternatives to maximise the space that is already available than relocating to new premise that is costly and time consuming. Installation is quick and in most cases businesses can quickly adapt to meet new challenges that they might face.

Mezzanine floor can help to improve operations by giving more space to manoeuvre which means improving operational efficiency. Mezzanine floors are also sought as strategy to increase productivity, motivate staff and create a long lasting impression with customers and prospects. Apart from putting off customers, it is unrealistic to expect employees to perform to the best of their abilities while working in a messy and cluttered workspace.

Mezzanine Flooring in Bristol

Mezzanine Flooring in Bristol

Mezzanine Flooring in Bristol By QA Worksspace

Mezzanine Flooring is a free standing platform that can be installed in any warehouse and is primarily used to maximise storage. Many businesses install mezzanine flooring within their existing property to increase their available workspace, without incurring additional business rates. (mezzanine flooring is exempt from local council rates.)

Some businesses will use mezzanine flooring to increase their retail space which will allow them to offer more products and improve displays therefore attracting more customers.

Mezzanine Flooring in Bristol - Storage and production mezzanine flooring is the most common type of flooring within businesses and is used where a business requires more space and does not want the inconvenience of moving to a new property, not to mention the additional expense of doing so. Installing this type of flooring could double production and storage space in a short space of time with minimal disruption. Flooring can usually be installed to full working order within 4-5 weeks.

Mezzanine Flooring in Bristol - Office mezzanine flooring can be used to create space for a new office either within an existing office unit, or manufacturing unit. It should also be noted that mezzanine flooring can be portable and therefore should the need arise to move premises, the flooring can in some cases be moved as well.
However, Mezzanine flooring is not just reserved for businesses. Mezzanine flooring can also be used to increase and maximise space within a domestic property. Typical situations where a mezzanine would suit a home could be a conversion such as a barn or church where there is a lot of height space that can be utilised, or a listed building where the structure of the building cannot be altered.

On a smaller scale, a mezzanine flooring can be used over an enlarged landing area overlooking a landing or a gallery within a loft space where a conversion is not possible due to height restriction.
The cost of a mezzanine floor will range in price between £75 and £120 per square meter. Compared to the cost of moving to new premises, this is a relatively cheap way of optimising space and increasing workspace.

It is very unusual that installing a mezzanine floor will require planning permission, however it must meet building regulations BS5950 part 1 and BS6399 part 5. These regulations cover important safety features such as smoke detectors and fire escapes and protection. It is usual practice that whoever installs the mezzanine floor will take care of any relevant planning permission and ensure the relevant building regulations are taken care of.

A standard mezzanine flooring for retail or office use can take a weight of up to 360kg per square meter, whilst storage and production flooring can hold up to 500 kg per square meter. Mezzanine flooring can accommodate for shelving, racking, office furniture and equipment.

Mezzanine Flooring Cardiff

Mezzanine Flloring Cardiff: Brand new Floor, Brand New Space

What is Mezzanine floor?
A Mezzanine floor is an intermediary floor between the main floors of a building or main floor and a ceiling of a building. The main floor and the mezzanine floor share the same ceiling. Mezzanine floors of a building are mainly used for industrial storage and office spaces.

Types of Mezzanine floors
Mezzanine can be built new from scratch or used. In most cases, the mezzanine floor comes out of a side of the building and extends across the way, not covering the entire volume of the building space, and as such not counted among overall main floors. An expensive operation on the existing buildings can be avoided and stand-alone mezzanine floor of any size at any location could also be built.

Differently laid out and known as industrial mezzanine floor such as warehouse mezzanine is a free-standing mezzanine floor held by metallic columns that extends from the main floor. Access to the industrial mezzanine floor would be through lift or set of stairs attached to it. This later type of mezzanine could be built with reduced mezzanine floor cost and it allows a freedom in constructing the right type mezzanine floor suitable for the right type of warehouse. Although not recommended due to the lack of heavy duty structural support from the ceiling, mezzanine floors supported from the ceiling also exist.
The Benefits of Mezzanine floor
The primary benefit of mezzanine floor is to create extra storage or office space without any substantial building work. It is also one of the industry standard method used to minimize business cost in building brand new floor.

A brand new floor can be assembled as integrated with an existing building or in stand-alone manner with cost-effective way. Mezzanine floor is a preferred option when it comes to increasing office space or expanding building, or relocating to a new property or planning to have new floor for a business.

With minimal cost, mezzanine flooring can considerably expand the existing floor space of the business or warehouse and it is the most efficient recommended approach. Mezzanine flooring is also useful when there exist a tall building with large volume of vertical space. It allows to use the overall volume of the building in an efficient, cost-effective way without making any substantial change to the existing building.
Installation of Mezzanine floor
There are a number ways in which mezzanine floor could be installed. These includes installation of purpose built smaller floors for a single use or based on the available space and volume of the building, multiple purpose large mezzanine floor can be set up. In its general form, a metal structure with solid floor and strong load bearing is sufficient to install huge extra storage space for office, for materials such as boxes, equipment, pallets, and packages.

Usually there exists access and exit point setup clearly and properly thought. Stairs are ideal for moving smaller objects up and down, lifts for heavy materials and pallets, and an access point on the main floor for small vehicles such as fork lifts to load, unload and move objects. All features of a normal main floor such as internet outlets, electrical sockets, telephone lines, central heating and lights can be easily installed. Apart from its location in a reasonably affordable and practical mezzanine, a metal mezzanine office places whose interiors environment are highly professional with decorated walls, carpets, doors, windows and ceilings can be created with small additional building work. Installation of used mezzanines are also other options to consider for any facility. It usually is less costly than building a new structure.

Used mezzanines might be available in various styles, relocated when needed, can be expanded or downsized, installed fast and environment friendly when compared to building new ones.

INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL LIVE STORAGE FROM QA STORAGE SOLUTIONS IN BRISTOL

INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL LIVE STORAGE FROM QA STORAGE SOLUTIONS IN BRISTOLWhether you are looking for the cost efficient manual handling system or live pallet racking or a conveyor belt system, QA Storage Solutions based in Bristol, Reading and Cardiff, can design and build the perfect 'live storage' system for your business.

If your internal supply chain needs a storage solution that manages stock control or stock turnover and / or where saving space on storage is key then one of QA's smart storage solutions could be the answer.

Live Storage Options

Typically one, or a combination of, our warehouse racking solutions can provide the ideal storage and distribution needs, whatever your business.

Live storage options we have available are, but not restricted to, "live storage" for pallets and "live storage" for boxes.

Live Storage For Pallets

We offer two types of "Drive-In" racking for live pallet storage:

Gravity flow: A brilliant storage solution for "first in - first out" (FIFO system) warehouse and industrial racking. This will be constructed with one of our, slightly sloping, pallet racking systems, with a loading area at the highest point, feeding pallets gently down to the lower positioned unloading area.

Push back: Push back storage is a rack system ideal for "last in - first out" (LIFO system) storage. Unlike 'gravity flow' it has a single loading area.

Live Storage For Boxes or Cartons

Although we do offer some Carton flow LIFO systems, the vast majority of our customers utilise a FIFO industrial shelving or normally carton live storage racking systems with conveyor rollers feeding an unloading conveyor belt system or manual handling process.

This type of system also enables you to have full visibility of stock levels on the 'conveyors', so pick aisles are kept full, and restocking of the storage solution can occur simultaneously with the 'picking'. A highly efficient warehouse racking system that minimises stoppages and downtime. FIFO storage solutions minimises shelf time and keeps inventory fresh.

Live Storage For Seasonal Fluctuations

Whether it be Christmas in the winter or Glastonbury festival in the summer, there are many companies that require additional live storage solutions to cope with a seasonal increase in through flow in the warehouse.

Mobile Bulk Storage Racks allow you to utilise the aisles between racks to increase overall capacity, yet still maintain normal operating procedures and usability in terms of being able to locate and access every stored pallet or product. This type of racking system sits on a base that is motorised and equipped with electronic controls (with safety devices) that can be either operated manually or remotely by computer aided systems.

At QA Storage solutions we can offer 'tailor made', bespoke storage solutions for live storage of pallets or carton flow systems on a small 'cottage industry' scale to a 'Amazon' scale distribution centre. Live Storage Solutions

Industrial and Commercial Live Storage from QA Storage Solutions in Bristol

Whether you are looking for the cost efficient manual handling system or live pallet racking or a conveyor belt system, QA Storage Solutions based in Bristol, Reading and Cardiff, can design and build the perfect 'live storage' system for your business.
